The Herend manufactory owes its fame to the special beauty and uniqueness of the manypilicious hand-decorated services. The masters are always skillful in renewing the motifs of the services consisting of thousands of pieces and based on centuries-old craft traditions and adapting them to the expectations of new customers.

The "Victory" decoration, made by Fischer Mor, made the manufactory world famous in the early 1850s. Yellow, red, blue and purple roses, butterflies and other small insects make up the oriental-inspired but Hungarian-style decoration, which was a huge success at the London World's Fair in 1851. The recognition, in addition to the gold medal that was awarded by the jury, was also due to the fact that Queen of England Victoria herself, after whom più tarsi was named, ordered the "Butterfly" service for Windosr Castle.
