Hydria Vase

Venini 2016

From the Greek Hydria, the name itself recalls the water that was traditionally carried in this type of amphora. In its forms, Hydria tells a story that has the charm of the’ancient ritualà everyday. Venini transforms the’ancient container from terracotta into glass. In its lines it speaks of rhythms that are no longer there’and brings them back to life, revealing how much beauty is timeless. The Idria vase is inspired by the past, by traditions, but è among the most recent creations.
