From the’imperceptible heartbeat to the turning of the Earth, all human life èconnected to time and its cyclicityà. The hourglass was born to capture a fragment and make it eternal.

The lightness and fleetingness of time are captured in glass by Fulvio Bianconi and Paolo Venini.

In 1957 they designed the Hourglass, later reinterpreted in 2015. The sand flows placidly into the sand that is in turn quickly transformed into glass, testifying that change canò be slow or sudden.
