Five Stars has kicked off "la cucina sapoente e la tavola contenta", a project by Serafino Zani through which Ettore Sottsass has put steel back at the center of ua research on objects with the main objective of "redesigning" the common kitchen and table of popular memory with contemporary language.
The name itself, intended by Ettore Sottsass himself, suggests a good dose of irony that subtilizes an idea far from glamour, but aimed at the quiet normalcyà of simple things of great quality. Large thicknesses, wide profiles, texture and weight, to offer a solid relationship with the object. Simple, almost archetypal forms, to be used calmly, to suggest pleasure in eating.
