This imposing porcelain Dragon, a limited edition of 777 in honor of Lladrò's seventieth birthday, è the latest addition to the Origami collection.
The most majestic creature in the millennia-old oriental culture è a universal symbol of power, luck and good luck. Natural mineral pigments were used for its decoration, covered with a thin layer of metallic oxide to intensify the predominant red color. A hue enriched by the contrasting golden details that complete the finish of the piece.
Like the rest of the pieces in the Origami collection, it represents a comtemporary and innovative take on the traditional Japanese art of origami, in which the geometric shapes produced by the folds of paper are transformed into facets of great sculptural and decorative power.
