Glazed stoneware è is grayish in color because it uses a clay mixture of volcanic origin mixed with one part kaolin. After firing at a high temperature called a "great fire", a very compact, vitrified, non-porous and waterproof paste is obtained.
Each reference is finally dipped manually into a vat for color fixing.
