The Herend manufactory owes its fame to the particular beauty and uniqueness of its many hand-decorated services. The masters are always skilful in renewing the motifs of the services consisting of thousands of pieces and based on centuries-old craft traditions and adapting them to the expectations of new customers.
The decoration, inspired by Biedermeier, features a central rose and parsley leaves scattered all around. The wide dark green inner rim is characteristic. The decoration was used by Herend, the official supplier to the Habsburg court, from 1862, when the Vienna manufactory was closed. The decro is still a great success today.
