The Herend manufactory owes its fame to the particular beauty and uniqueness of the many hand-decorated services. The masters are always skilful in renewing the motifs of the services consisting of thousands of pieces and based on centuries-old craft traditions and in adapting them to the expectations of new customers.

The decoration is inspired by the animals and birds of the fields and woods that appear among the green leaves and foliage, alongside mushrooms and the foliage of forest trees. Admiring this décor is like a walk in the countryside for a naturalist, it can provide an elegant table that reflects and symbolises their vocation.

The décor is a celebration of the fauna of the forests of Hungary and Europe; its motifs are the heads of deer, fox, mouflon boar, along with pheasants, grouse and partridges. The plate is finished with a green border and the flap of the plate is decorated with leaves, branches, forest flowers and mushrooms.

First produced in the 1960s, it has continued to prove popular with hunters and forest lovers. As many as 14 decorations are available.
