The casserole è intended for the preparation of foods that are to be cooked for a long timeor at any rate fairly slowly and that need to be stirred. Cylindrical in shape and with two handles, casseroles are used both for cooking and as containers for bringing food to the table.
But bearing the name are those preparations that know how to get the most out of casseroles: we are therefore talking aboutstew dishes composed of small-piece foods bound by a thick sauce.
You can cook many dishes in a casserole: no one forbids you from ursing it to boil vegetables or short pasta, to cook a broth or soup, né to deep fry by taking advantage of its capacity and depth.
The cylindrical shape of the body and that of the handles, which are perfectly perpendicular to it, mean that the casseroles in this line can be stacked one inside the other, thus saving precious space in the kitchen.
