But the ones that bear the name are the preparations that get the most out of casseroles: we are therefore talking aboutstew dishes composed of foodstuffs in small pieces bound by a thick sauce.
You can cook many dishes in a casserole dish: no one forbids you from using it to boil vegetables or short pasta, to cook a broth or soup, or to deep-fry by taking advantage of its capacity and depth.
